How I Got Abandoned

May 3, 2016May 3, 2016 SequoiaScholars Poem, Uncategorized abandoned, Poem, sadness

In response to Daily Post’s writing post “Abandoned“.

When someone let me down,

they usually did it carefully.

They held my hands tight,

and said, “Be careful,”

before they let my hands go,

and let me drop.

And down I would drop,

Into the realm of sadness,

for only a few seconds,

and then I found somebody else,

who dropped me down, too.
