What she remembers is the shouts and cries of the people.

“Long live the Queen!”

 

She, a measly orphan girl, stepped back, as the crowd surged toward the gates. The guards had a hard time controlling the throng. She felt dignified as she touched her head. A beautiful, crystal crown lay upon it as she waved back to the people.
