Echo Challenge Day #11

Today, I challenge you to light a candle. It seems like a simple task, but there is a beautiful meaning behind it. At 7 pm, light your candle and think about a loved one who has passed away. Remember all the wonderful moments you had with them, and be grateful that they were a part of your life. The candle symbolizes that even though they have passed away, they still remain in our hearts.

“If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them.”
-James O’Barr

Echo Challenge Day #8

Gratefulness is something we all need to work on. When you are grateful, you become happier. Today, I challenge you to write a letter to someone you are thankful for. It could be your friend, family, or a person who was nice to you. It could also be a note to someone you miss. Handwrite your letter and send it by snail mail.

Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day! If you don’t know what it is, the Attack on Pearl Harbor was when the Japanese attacked an US naval base located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. More than 2,400 US citizens died. This attack cause the United States to join World War II.

I challenge you to take a minute to remember those who died on this day, and be grateful for everything you have in your life.

Echo Challenge Day #5

Today is World Soil Day! When I read this, I was thinking, “Wait, there’s a day dedicated to soil?” The explanation I got is that soil is an important part of our ecosystem because it helps grow the bottom parts of the food chain (plants). Without soil, we wouldn’t be able to live.

So today, I challenge you to take a walk outside and notice the soil. Take a minute to be grateful for soil. Educate yourself about soil and research about its importance.
