Echo Challenge Day #14

Today, I challenge you to eat healthy! Eat a salad, fruits, veggies, or skip a cheat food. Eating healthy is good for your mind and body! You are what you eat. When you eat healthy, you become a better person. You become stronger and more fit!

“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”

P.S. I’m sure having a cheat food once in a while is fine! 😉

Echo Challenge Day #13

Today, I challenge you to listen to your favorite music and share it with someone. As they say, sharing is caring. If you play an instrument, you can play it for a friend. Let this day be musical.

“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.”

Echo Challenge Day #11

Today, I challenge you to light a candle. It seems like a simple task, but there is a beautiful meaning behind it. At 7 pm, light your candle and think about a loved one who has passed away. Remember all the wonderful moments you had with them, and be grateful that they were a part of your life. The candle symbolizes that even though they have passed away, they still remain in our hearts.

“If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them.”
-James O’Barr

Echo Challenge Day #10

In response to Daily Post’s “Missing

Today, is Human Rights Day. This day was when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I challenge you to celebrate this day. If you have a blog, you can spread the word. If you want, you can donate to a charity. You can spread your voice however you feel is fitting. Remember that there are a lot of people who are missing the basic necessities of life, like food, shelter, and clothing. Instead of focusing on the missing pieces in our life, we should be thankful for what we have. Here’s a quote to inspire you:

“To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity.”

-Nelson Mandela

Echo Challenge #9

In response to Daily Post’s “Treasure

Today, I want you to treasure all your moments, good or bad. At the end of the day, jot down the most emotional moments you had. Then, throw the piece of paper in the garbage. Tomorrow, you can start new again. I like this exercise because it symbolizes one of my favorite quotes:

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Echo Challenge Day #2

Apparently, many occupations have an appreciation day, but did you know that today is Bartender Appreciation Day? I have never heard of it before.

For those of you who plan to go to happy hour today, I challenge you to thank your bartender. For people who are too young to drink or teetotalers like me, I came up with something creative. When you go out for your morning coffee, or stop at a restaurant or diner to eat, remember to thank the person who is serving you. Don’t forget to smile. 🙂
