Trapped

I was so trapped I could not breathe. Anyways, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am very busy, but I think I can spare some time. I am a German Shepherd and my name is Jasper. My owner is Madame Adèle. We live on Genevieve Street, right in front of a bus stop. In the bus stop, the bus stops and usually goes far away into some other block I have never seen before. Madame Adèle takes the bus to get to something called ‘work’. Most of the time, gray vehicles pass on the road and go into The Blocks. I bark at them, but they never hear me. I’m never surprised when they pass by, because humans don’t hear very well. My master and I live on the sixth floor of Apartment 42. There’s a huge balcony which is where I see the whole world, in many more than fifty shades of gray. There’s also many creepers that hug the railings. Sometimes, if I pay attention, I can see the Eiffel Tower. I guess I don’t need to tell you what color that is. I have my own beanie couch at the end of the room and a kitchen filled with yummy treats and snacks. My life is a good one.
One day, when Madame Adèle was taking me for a walk on the busy streets of Paris. I looked around as we made a turn and came back to our street. Just as soon as I passed the apartment with the annoying cat, I heard Madame Adèle scream and I was surrounded in total darkness. Did she forget to pay the electric company? I hoped that was all that happened. I was completely surrounded by a rough material that resembled a sack, but who could put me, a big German Shepherd into one of those things? Soon, it became tight. I felt squished. I tried to wiggle out of it, but the thing that surrounded me was tied up. I tried barking, but then I gave up. As I said, humans have horrible hearing. So that was how I got into that situation. I don’t remember doing anything wrong. Was it karma? Did Santa decide I stole too many snacks from the kitchen? I don’t have a clue. I leave it up to you to decide.
